Inform your Doctor if you are taking any anti-seizure or antifungal medicines before you start taking Biltricide.
As Biltricide may cause dizziness or drowsiness, those who drive, operate machinery, or perform risky activities that require them to be fully alert, should refrain from such activities for a day or two when they take the Biltricide dose.
As elderly patients are more sensitive to medicines, and also because Biltricide may cause drowsiness, they have to be careful when they use this drug.

A vigorous rub with the towel after a brief or accidental exposure to fresh water may help to prevent the Schisotosoma parasites from entering the skin, but this alone may not be enough to protect you from the infection.
In such places, let the water boil for 1 minute, or filter it, before you drink it.
Heat your bath water for at least 5 minutes at a temperature of 150oF.
It is recommended that when you are visiting infection-prone areas, you do not partake of raw fish, or fish that has been smoked/salted/dried to prevent getting Clonorchiasis (occurring in China, Korea, Japan, and Vietnam), or Opisthorciasis (occurring in Siberia, Laos, Thailand and other parts of S.East Asia).
If you do get a worm infection, you must visit your doctor after your Biltricide treatment is over, so that the doctor can ascertain if your infection has been completely cleared.
