How Should I Take Biltricide ?

Generic Biltricide should be taken exactly as directed by the treating doctor.

The dosage can vary according to the kind of infection you have, and the individual condition. Besides, the patient’s weight (whether it is an adult, or a child), is taken into consideration by the physician while prescribing Biltricide (Generic Praziquantel).

For Schistosomiasis, Biltricide may be given as a single dose of 40mg/kg-60mg/kg; or, 3 doses of 20mg/kg may be given for 1 day; or, 3 doses of 25mg/kg may be given for 3 days.

To treat Clonorchiasis and Opisthorchiasis, 3 doses are given usually over 1 day.

Take Biltricide with a glassful of water; with or without food. It is recommended that you take the tablet with water during meals. Swallow the tablet whole, without chewing, biting, or breaking it, as the medicine has a bitter taste, and keeping any part of it in the mouth may cause gagging or vomiting.
